| 1394 | Article | Benjanime | i remember the virtual boy and n64 being on display like it was yesterday. though at the time of going in to see both, my parents were already getting a few hints from the other customers about the virtual boy's eye strain/headache warnings, so my mom just let me check out the nintendo 64 instead when they had super mario 64 playing in a kiosk | Timewarp: Blockbuster Video 1996 | Oct 08, 2014 | ![]() |
| 1933 | Article | NLogan | I remember the transition from seeing articles in the "Article Archives" either on page after page of the "Front Page" or the "Back Page" depending on the numbers of thumbs up ratings, to seeing articles in the "Article" section with the Newest, Popular, and Back Page with the Popular category divided into 1 Week, 1 Month, 3 Months, and All Time. It made it so much easier to see the best voted articles without scrolling through page after page. The catalyst for the change was an article contest. As far as I know there were no contests on Retro*Junk since 2005. Vertex resurrected the idea to showcase a sponsor in Oct/Nov 2007 with a Wii game as the prize. I won the contest with my article Saturday Morning Cereals with a whopping score of 42 (the first to break the 20 point then the 40 point barrier since the switch from the 5 Star rating). <img style="width: 491px; height: 371px;" src="/images/postImages/1423526280retrojunkcontest.gif"> | Remembering RetroJunk | Feb 10, 2015 | ![]() |

| 3531 | Article | DirtyD79 | I remember the McDonald's Super hero Burger. When Batman Forver first came out the burger came with like a glass featuring Batman etched on it. I had that glass although unfortunately I think it got lost or broke when we were moving. Still though I thought it was just so neat getting a burger with three patties on a hoagie bun. Also even though I've always lived in Western Pennsylvania, for some odd reason I could swear I had Superman peanut butter as a kid. | Foods Long Gone: The Sequel | Apr 30, 2016 | ![]() |
| 471 | Article | ProphetSword | I remember the McDLT pretty well. I was a teenager working at McDonalds in that era, and I both made and ate them. They were awesome. One sandwich not mentioned here (that I really wish McDonalds would bring back) is the Cheddar Melt, which came out in 1988. I remember being the guy who was selected to teach everyone else about how to make them. | McDonald's 80's New Menu Items | Mar 04, 2013 | ![]() |
