4754ArticleHoju Koolander@OldSchool80s My pleasure! @Towtrucktom That is the mission statement of the site, so I'm glad I could be a part of that special moment of nostalgia. @Vaporman87 Mandrell still sounds like a Star Trek villain to me. Dec 21, 2018View
3936ArticleHoju Koolander@OldSchool80s I actually owned a New Kids On The Block doll that had a similar cassette gimmick, though it just featured an interview with the group from what I recall. @Vaporman87 When I worked at Disneyland as a costumed character I actually met M.C. Hammer while dressed as Kronk. He was still rocking a Walkman and it was 2001! @jkatz Yeah, Joe Camel was the least of our concerns. All of our Hollywood heroes from Ghostbusters to Arnold were lighting one up back in the day.Antique Store Finds: RebornJun 09, 2017View
2463ArticleHoju Koolander@OldSchool80s Good call! I always associated the standard 4 color pens with my older brother who actually carried them in a pocket protector (he was going to college to be an electrical engineer). But I remember at one point owning a huge shiny purple one that had like 10 colors, which was crazy.Retro School SuppliesAug 05, 2015View
2460ArticleVaporman87@OldSchool: Oh yeah! I had forgotten all about those pens. Those were so cool back in the day. I had a few of those too. Though the only color that really got much use was black, followed by blue.Retro School SuppliesAug 04, 2015View

1725ArticleVaporman87@OldSchool - I'm not sure if I ever had a pair of ET pajamas, but I do know I owned an ET t-shirt, because I'm wearing it on my "ET Birthday". That was the birthday my mom had somebody make me an ET cake, which I have described in another article comment section. Basically, it was a two foot tall ET made of cake. And it tasted awful. 3196Articlemickyarber@NLogan....I didn't include the picture because I couldn't find it, but I have a picture of me opening it while crying. In the picture, it doesn't look like they are tears of joy though. Almost like sadness or something. It's really weir thinking back on, because I just can't place what was going through my mind at that time. @Vaporman...when time travel get's invented, I'll pick you up and we'll head back for a week around Christmas and you can see how much fun we had then! How I Remember ChristmasDec 12, 2015View
1464ArticleVaporman87@NLogan: That's awesome. Sounds like your wife has all she needs to make her best Olivia impression convincing. :) My wife will be Velma in our Scooby-Doo party. I'm Fred. My oldest son will be Shaggy and my youngest, Scooby. My daughter will be Daphne, and my best friend will be The Creeper (found an actual licensed mask for it!)Frilly and ScaryOct 20, 2014View
