4680ArticleVaporman87The Battle Armor He-Man and Skeletor figures were favorites of mine growing up as well. Then they started getting a little carried away with the variants... kind of a prelude to what would happen with the Turtles. LOL Nov 19, 2018View
4687ArticleVaporman87The original Mario Kart was an absolute blast to play, especially with friends, but I can see how it would likely be nothing but frustrating now. Control schemes and controllers themselves have advanced to the point that attempting to readjust to the N64 controller might seem impossible. Same goes for Goldeneye.Disappointing video game revisitsNov 27, 2018View

4689ArticleVaporman87I was not familiar with the WB network, but the fact that the Cryptkeeper had his own holiday block makes life seem somehow more complete. LOLKids WB Christmas BlocksNov 27, 2018View

4696ArticleVaporman87Wow! Very nicely done on the eagle-eye spotting of super sweet '80s toy goodness. I would love to have pretty much anything you spotted here. I have to commend the kid on his fascination with Bravestarr and MOTU. A true Filmation fanatic he must be. All that was missing was some Ghostbusters stuff - the original ones that is.80s Toy Movie Treasure Hunt: Mac and MeDec 03, 2018View
4703ArticleVaporman87How odd it is to long for the days when bright blue screens with yellow and white text ruled television advertising. There’s something strangely comforting about them. I personally love the He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special. It did a fine job of combining the two worlds and playing to the light-hearted appeal of Christmastime. You have to love Skeletor being good and wondering what the heck is wrong with himself. LOL5 Christmas Commercials of the '80sDec 08, 2018View
4707ArticleVaporman87What a fun recalling of a special Christmas. Too bad you didn't get the game you were hoping for. Did you ever get it?The Christmas of '97Dec 13, 2018View
4708ArticleVaporman87Barbara and the Mandrell sisters were pretty big in the early to mid '80s. They had a variety type show on television that I can recall. That "Handwarmin'" ad just doesn't capture the spirit of Christmas like the "On The Pond" one. Still, it's a valiant effort.5 More 80s Christmas CommercialsDec 13, 2018View
4710ArticleVaporman87Thank you for letting us into your world circa the '80s and '90s and being open about some of the difficulties you experienced. I know there are a few here with similar experiences, and like you they still cherish their youths despite the troubles. I often wish I could change my own behavior towards larger kids in school. I wasn't kind, even though it was all muttered under my breath or to friends. I'd like to go back in time and smack myself in the head... for a lot of things really. But, to a certain degree, I can empathize. I was the shortest kid in my entire school for a long time. And my high school included everybody from 7th to Senior. That meant you had 7th graders constantly available to pick on if you were in the higher grades. I took my share of insults in stride. Still, it's not the same as what you and others had to endure. Hopefully these things help us to become better people in our adult lives. I know that has been the case for me. As a husband, father, and business owner... all those experiences helped to shape who I am now and how I interact with others, be it friends, family, or just customers. I'm guessing you feel the same.Being An 80's and 90's Fat Kid Part 1 Dec 13, 2018View
