4438ArticleHoju KoolanderWow, 3 hours in the pumkin patch, that was a very thorough selection process. I had a slightly more enjoyable experience raking leaves at my aunt's house while visiting during Halloween one year. I think what made it seem less grueling was that she had those trash bags with jack o' lantern designs on them. So after the hard work, we got to enjoy the decoration. Glad you learned a valuable life lesson out of it.A Short October Vacation: Rakes and PumpkinsJun 15, 2018View

1785ArticleHoju KoolanderWow, Anthony Edwards is "King of the Sidekicks" isn't he? Even in Revenge of the Nerds I always felt his Gilbert was playing second fiddle to Lewis. Great list! Sometimes sidekicks get a break, like Ben from Short Circuit becoming the main character in Short Circuit 2 (which is actually my favorite of the series). The only omission for me is Annie Herman from Troop Beverly Hills. She starts out as the sidekick to the villain, Velda Plendor, then switches sides to the kinder, Phyllis Nefler. Her overly timid performance is hilarious.Top Sidekick Characters from 80s MoviesJan 12, 2015View

2799ArticleoniparWow, great list! I actually like your list mostly because it's so different than what mine would look like (that's the fun in this for me, seeing what others love about Halloween). 5582ArticleoniparWow, great stuff here! You know, it's funny, but I also dug out my old photos this Christmas to look through. What's awesome about your pictures if that your parents actually had you pose with the gifts. Unfortunately, even though I have TONS of pictures from Christmases past, very few actually show the presents. They're always of right before the presents were opened, or completely obscuring what the presents were. Oh well, awesome article! Retro Christmas Memories: Reclaimed!Jan 15, 2022View
1962ArticlevkimoWow, haha. Your friend's folks seemed a bit uptight, but sneaking in to play some games is pretty bold, I would never had the nerve to do that! As for the TV, just unplug it. The neighbor would have given you up either way though. Great storyHow to ruin a friendship without really tryingFeb 11, 2015View
1598ArticleSockofFleagullsWow, I feel old. My first real Christmas memories were a decade sooner and getting stuff like Castle Greyskull and the Atari 2600!!! No matter what year though, those first memories of Christmas are treasured.Christmas of 1994 Dec 10, 2014View
4132ArticleHoju KoolanderWow, I knew Ninjas were big business, but this article shows how vast their reach was. Wrath of The Black Manta was a comic book ad I couldn't escape back in the day. Wasn't there even a shopping spree contest tied to that game? Also, I have to thank you for using your Ninja toy hunting skills to help me find a complete V2 Storm Shadow (my favorite Ninja) at RetroCon last year, he is proudly displayed in my retro room now.Revenge of the Imaginary Ninjas!Sep 14, 2017View
