ArticleoniparI remember Sprinkle Spangles, but never had any of these. They all seem like fun cereals though.  Jul 24, 2022View
ArticleVaporman87There is a lot content out there that blasts D.A.R.E. for being too simplistic in its approach, and for its ineffectiveness. That fact of the matter is it was a multi-pronged approach to a crisis that was blowing up all too quickly. There was little time to effectively create a campaign that covered every conceivable base. If nothing else, it definitely made a memorable impact, considering we're still talking about it today. How DARE Failed to Prevent Drug UseJul 25, 2022View
ArticleVaporman87Ahhh. Very nice. I feel you. I feel you. Yeah, it's become quite hot and stuffy in these dog days of Summer. Vacation has passed, and now it's just a countdown to our annual Fair. After that, the pivot to Halloween is instantaneous. Doesn't matter what the calendar says... as far as I'm concerned, Halloween season is here. I definitely had many a beautiful summer day that felt wasted, alone. You tend to forget all those days, your memory favoring the good times. And living where I did, I could not just escape to town for some much needed distraction. I was stuck where I was. That probably helped nurture my imagination. Having to come up with my own fun... somehow. The CureJul 25, 2022View
ArticleMr MagicI never did drugs in middle school. Still haven't to this day, so D.A.R.E. must've had SOME impact on me.How DARE Failed to Prevent Drug UseJul 25, 2022View
ArticleJulieAMAZING article, my perfect @Benjanime! ❤ Amazing initiative! ❤ Commendable! ❤ I never had drugs experience, thank God! And since my childhood, back in the 80's, drugs were a taboo. It really saddens me that the current culture praises that and other wrong things that, in the 80's and 90's, were (and are) wrong. I agree with your text here, my sweet @Benjanime, and I love you for the initiative on bringing back the good memories of a superior time in comparison with today. I love you! ❤❤How DARE Failed to Prevent Drug UseJul 25, 2022View

ArticleoniparThat's so true though, when there's nothing else to do, we nurture our imaginations all the more fervently. I remember an episode of...I dunno, maybe Sesame Street, maybe Pee Wee's Playhouse, that was all about the things you can do inside when it's rainy out. I try to drag that kind of mindset along with me no matter how many years pass. Ah, yeah, and Halloween beckoning from the rafters helps too! The CureJul 26, 2022View
ArticleoniparNice retrospective here. I vaguely remember DARE and other anti-drug, anti-smoking programs going through school. How DARE Failed to Prevent Drug UseJul 26, 2022View
