51453Old School Saturday Mornings<p>I know it sounds strange, but I think even commercial breaks could make Saturday morning TV feel special.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><a href="https://youtu.be/u7ytjlB0gi4?si=LrMFFGtCujyJo0lZ">https://youtu.be/u7ytjlB0gi4?si=LrMFFGtCujyJo0lZ</a></p>Mr MagicJul 06, 2026View
51452Sony is killing physical video games<p>Thankfully, Sony is not the only game in town. There's still time for gamers to vote with their money for physical media still on offer. RAR has a point, the gaming landscape is changing so fast that Sony may find itself kicked to the curb.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><figure class="media"><div data-oembed-url="https://youtube.com/shorts/eEkBGG2uMko?si=OyETu8NUMonJVzXr"><div style="max-width: 56vh;"><div style="left: 0; width: 100%; height: 0; position: relative; padding-bottom: 177.7778%;"><iframe src="//if-cdn.com/3KvTwjHf" style="top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute; border: 0;" allowfullscreen="" scrolling="no" allow="accelerometer *; clipboard-write *; encrypted-media *; gyroscope *; picture-in-picture *; web-share *;"></iframe></div></div></div></figure>eddstarrJul 06, 2026View
51451Sony is killing physical video games<p>We knew for years this was coming. To be honest, I don't really care anymore. Five years ago I would have been up in arms over this, but I am at the point in my life where I feel videos game are a dying industry that no longer appeals to me. Plus, does anyone really need new video games at this point?</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>There is forty plus years of old video games that have been released that I can continue exploring and finding things I have never played before. I don't need new releases anymore because there is already so much out there just waiting for me to experience for the first time.</p>Rick Ace RhodesJul 06, 2026View

51449America turns 250<p>Anybody remember the “Bicentennial Minute”, the nightly CBS countdown to July 4th, 1976?</p><p>Everyone who ever appeared on CBS Television could be called upon to host a story from American history.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><figure class="media"><div data-oembed-url="https://youtu.be/LRlOa_feAfU?si=Gn1vX-WaTy0LLy6Y"><div><div style="left: 0; width: 100%; height: 0; position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%;"><iframe src="//if-cdn.com/B4QcdOk3" style="top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute; border: 0;" allowfullscreen="" scrolling="no" allow="accelerometer *; clipboard-write *; encrypted-media *; gyroscope *; picture-in-picture *; web-share *;"></iframe></div></div></div></figure>eddstarrJul 05, 2026View
51448America turns 250<p>I feel blessed to have witnessed the build-up to America's 200th Birthday for 1976. The media circus started with newspapers, periodicals, radio and television offering Bicentennial stories while consumer goods manufacturers created “Bicentennial Edition” specially marked Everything!!!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><figure class="image"><img style="aspect-ratio:608/405;" src="https://i.pinimg.com/736x/0e/08/c5/0e08c54d7d57799f192cc76e6e9dda9a.jpg" width="608" height="405"></figure><p>Chevrolet offered "Spirit of America" special edition cars in 1974. Available as a Vega, Nova, or Impala, the "Spirit of America" red &amp; blue striping was offered on base level models to keep prices affordable.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><figure class="media"><div data-oembed-url="https://youtu.be/bs61UpeDido?si=DZrcyAdyS79NevON"><div><div style="left: 0; width: 100%; height: 0; position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%;"><iframe src="//if-cdn.com/Ub8ld2uQ" style="top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute; border: 0;" allowfullscreen="" scrolling="no" allow="accelerometer *; clipboard-write *; encrypted-media *; gyroscope *; picture-in-picture *; web-share *;"></iframe></div></div></div></figure><p>&nbsp;</p><figure class="image"><img style="aspect-ratio:735/467;" src="https://i.pinimg.com/736x/ee/0b/9e/ee0b9e1d5d8c8699d6a8ececda69f479.jpg" width="735" height="467"></figure><p>&nbsp;</p><figure class="image"><img style="aspect-ratio:589/339;" src="https://i.pinimg.com/736x/00/9b/78/009b78f61499a99c5e89eff614ad66e0.jpg" width="589" height="339"></figure>eddstarrJul 05, 2026View
51447America turns 250<p>Went on a trip to North Carolina and was held up in traffic over some fireworks shows here and there. I miss going on little hilltops to join groups of people setting them off.</p>BenjanimeJul 05, 2026View
