| 47664 | Bill Cosby is released from prison! |
His ruined legacy is a significant punishment for a star like him, but I agree... not much justice was served here.
| Vaporman87 | Jul 02, 2021 | ![]() |
| 47663 | Publishing |
I'm sure Anthony (Candy Corn Apocalypse) can help with this one.

As for myself, I've only ever had work published once... in the pages of the MV Creations Masters of the Universe comic series.

But, having researched this a ton lately to prepare for launching the novel, I can say that I think you actually have a handful of options depending on your goals.

There are the two most common routes... self-publishing or traditional publishing, but there is a third: hybrid publishing. I had actually considered using a hybrid publisher to get the novel on the market quicker, while still retaining the rights so that if an agent/traditional publisher is interested, it can easily be moved to them.

If you're goal is a film or TV series, you might consider having the story adapted into a screenplay. I think it is much more difficult to get a screenplay seen by the right people, but if your short story garnered interest, at least you would have something to show a producer or studio.

I'm no expert, so please don't take this advice as gospel. I'm merely going on what I have read in researching these things.
| Vaporman87 | Jul 02, 2021 | ![]() |

| 47654 | Bill Cosby is released from prison! |
I feel bad for his victims in all of this. Ultimately they really didn't get justice outside of getting their stories out their and destroying his public image. He ultimately got a few years in prison but that is barely anything compared to what he did.

At the same time, I'm not shocked. It seemed from the beginning of this trial that they didn't have much of a case legally and were just going to the method of public opinion. At this point it seems like his case did more to hurt his victims rather than help. They were dangled an image of finally getting justice for the harm they suffered only to have that taken away from them because the entire case had no legal standing.

Cosby has left such an ugly stain on everything he has ever been involved with. And to think this all started because of a Hannibal Buress stand-up routine.
| Rick Ace Rhodes | Jul 01, 2021 | ![]() |
