LOOK Magazine in the 1960's was famous for assembling photos in a single issue that tells a story that forms in the minds of viewers as there was no text to channel your thoughts.</p> <p>"The Electric State", implies that many of the cartoony robots were advertising mascots that got caught in a disaster of some kind, but that idea works best only as long as the mascots are unfamiliar - in other words, not actual mascots of familiar products we all recognize. That's why the inclusion of Mr. Peanut is a problem. The companies and their ad logos should remain unfamiliar.
