| 2219 | Retro TV Show Quote Thread | Elderly lady: I need shoes. Al Bundy: There's a blacksmith right around the corner. (Married...With Children) | Mr Magic | May 20, 2013 | ![]() |
| 2218 | Favorite comic book based movies anyone? | That reminds me, raptor, I liked The Shadow (1994). I even watched it again recently. My introduction to the character was from the 70s comic book series, of which I picked up a bunch of early issues one summer vacation, from the bargain bin at a strip mall book store in Ocean City NJ. After that, I got a cassette box set of the 30s radio show, which was a little too dry for me. As for my absolute favorite comic book movie...well, it's way too hard for me to pick. I looked through this list and kept bouncing from one to another to another. All I can say for sure it is NOT Barb Wire. | shakin steak | May 20, 2013 | ![]() |
| 2217 | Retro Movie Quote Thread | "If it bleeds, we can kill it." Predator | raptor | May 20, 2013 | ![]() |
| 2216 | Favorite comic book based movies anyone? | One I haven't seen mentioned is The Phantom. I thought that was a pretty cool flick, though the casting of Treat Williams was a bit of a let down.:skep: | raptor | May 20, 2013 | ![]() |
| 2215 | Favorite retro slogans |
Vaporman87 wrote :
Time to make the donuts...
Man I had forgotten all about this phrase. I wonder where that dude is now? | raptor | May 20, 2013 | ![]() |
| 2214 | Cheers | I loved Coach and Norm the best, though Sam was good too. I was an awesome show and one I have good memories of watching. I hated to see it sign off for good. :'( | raptor | May 20, 2013 | ![]() |
| 2213 | Cheers | Woody was quite hilarious. | Mr Magic | May 20, 2013 | ![]() |
| 2212 | Who Framed Roger Rabbit? | It is definitely a classic. It was well written and didn't rely on the human/cartoon gimmick too heavily for it's entertainment value. | Vaporman87 | May 20, 2013 | ![]() |
| 2211 | You might be retro if... | ...you find yourself doing "wax on - wax off" while washing your car. | Vaporman87 | May 20, 2013 | ![]() |
| 2210 | Dick Tracy (1990) | I think stylistically they are somewhat similar. Obviously Sin City is far more violent and graphic. That being the case, I would prefer Dick Tracy over Sin City. I tend to go for more lighthearted, family friendly fare. :D | Vaporman87 | May 20, 2013 | ![]() |
