I would totally want that. A market? It's niche and I'm not sure how widespread it is. But where I am some people are definitely into vintage stereo consoles. I feel like something similar with a TV could work. On the other hand, that old gear is cheap and this would not be. In my opinion/for what I would want, you couldn't just build a nice case around a new TV. The interface has to be old fashioned as well. The set would have to be adapted to mechanical controls for power/volume/changing channel, brightness/contrast/tint/hue. I have always had a bit of a fascination with old televisions myself, but never actually acted on it. Toward the end of the life of our furniture business, we still sold some console televisions from Zenith. As far as I know, they were among the last manufacturers of them. I feel like there would be a market for today's HD televisions set in a wood console. But maybe that's not the case.	Vaporman87	Apr 18, 2013
