And as always, Wolf O'Donnell wants a piece of the action!

Shameless self-promotion:

I love “A Fox in Space”! It definitely makes me hungry for a Star Fox cartoon and Fox's appearance in Super Mario Galaxy only makes that craving stronger. I'd love a new game that isn't a rehash of Star Fox 64 again.

Seems that following this little animation short, Nintendo's about to release the next Star Fox game, though it's been getting some mixed reception here and there for being a retread of Star Fox 64.

Ya know Ben, seems like Nintendo catches heat no matter what they do, so now they're following the recycle/reuse path on product development. New Star Fox, same as the old Star Fox.

Not sure if you've heard Edd, but recently some officially licensed Super Mario Galaxy Movie shirts have shown up on Amazon, with some based on Fox's appearance in the movie.

Wow, thanks Ben, this is excellent.

I'll order one during Prime Day, which starts next week on June 23, 2026.

Personally I am not really interested in another Star Fox game. They haven't done anything with the franchise for years, and now when they do it is just another Star Fox 64 remake.

We grew beyond Star Fox 64 along time ago. The Gamecube era was supposed to be the next evolution of where Star Fox went. The fact that they abandoned that to go backwards has forced me to lose any potential interest.

It's a real troubling sign of the times. The entertainment ecosphere seems to be stuck in the past. If gaming follows movies and just spins out retreads, it signals time for a new generation of creators to move in and take gaming to the next level while there's still time.

They almost had it with Assault on the GameCube, then it just lied dormant on consoles for a while. There was also the DS game, but not many liked using the touch screen for a series that's always relied on action with buttons only

Yeah, I didn't really like Star Fox: Command either. I remember it being way too difficult. Assault in my opinion got the formula right in terms of what Star Fox should have involved into.

I know some people didn't like the shooting machines but I found them pretty fun overall.
