Anyway notice that both this and Friday the 13th: Part 2 both used a hammer-related kill? And in the same fashion! I guess 1981 was the year of the hammer.

A lot of people don't like this movie, but I dig it, despite Jamie Lee Curtis's awful wig.   I especially love how it occurs directly after the original, and you still have some pretty good Halloween vibes. Is this the one that has a weird TV version, or is that the first? I'm looking at the extras on my boxset now and it looks like both had new scenes shot for the TV versions. That is super weird... I can't imagine many movies have filmed extra scenes for the television broadcast versions.

One thing that bugs me about Halloween 2 is that Michael Myers was much slower than he was in the first movie.

Huh, never noticed that. I'll have to keep a lookout during my viewing this year. Maybe inspired by the Jason slow walk?

When Michael is chasing Laurie, it's like he's a zombie

Still not as divisive as part 3.

Very true. The first time I saw H3 was far enough removed from the initial controversy that I was able to enjoy it for what it was. I think even more people these days say they like it. I kinda love that Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy the Mail Girl have this ongoing argument about H3. He hates it, she loves it. And she is constantly trying to get him to play it on the show, and he flat out refuses.

I feel like the Halloween special this year may prove to make Darcy the winner of that argument, but we'll have to wait and see.

I found about this because of Halloween II.

Remember Ben Tramer? The guy we found out in the first movie Laurie had a crush on?
