Definitely different from the show and movie I grew up with, but in a good way. I like it.

with tmnt now owned by nickelodeon you'd think they would have watered down this crossover. boy was i ever wrong, because there's still some violence and a little blood in a few places. aside from that though this was a pretty fun watch, it's interesting to see so many character interactions squeezed into the movie whether it's barbara gordon nerding out with donatello or raph complimenting robin, and batman attempting to take down shredder. it's definitely a family movie for sure, but it's not worth missing.

This was made as sort of a response to the old Bonnie & Clyde movie with Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, which romanticized the infamous duo. This movie doesn't shy away from showing them as cold blooded killers (but does mention how many consider them to be heroes). Anyway, Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson are the two ex-Texas Rangers who have to stop them. It's fun to see the two interact and play good cop/bad cop, but the rest of the movie did nothing for me. I caught myself more than once checking to see how much time it had left. It's not a bad movie by any means, but I don't see myself watching this again.

I saw the trailer to this while scrolling through my on demand cable service. I thought it looked really awesome so I decided to rent it.

If I could only say one thing about it, it would be that it could have been better. It's not so bad, but it looked a lot more promising compared to what was delivered. Also, the ending was kind of corny and poor.

Maybe rent it once and see if it's something you would like to see again.

Another film I saw the trailer for and thought would be a good watch. Unlike the last one, this one had zero redeeming qualities. The acting was incredibly poor, the plot was all over the place and the graphics were kind of bad but in an odd way.

Seriously, don't watch it. It's not even bad in a so bad its good way. It's just bad.

A strange flick, but a powerful one. Truly mesmerizing! It's a winner in my book.

how to train your dragon: the hidden world (2019)

it's rare that a movie trilogy has each movie getting better than the last, and this was a fitting end to an already great first film, and a breath of fresh air from the grinch movie that came out last year. as obvious as the story was seeing the humans and dragons eventually part ways the flashbacks with hiccup and his dad was a nice change of pace.

Can't wait for the 2020 version to come out!

Hmm, didn't really dig it. I can understand why they didn't go for a more traditional story line, as the movie would be too big for itself. This however was like a weird Blade Runner meets Pokemon crossover. The story wasn't really interesting and Mewtwo's bizarre Jesus trick at the end had me scratching my head. It was cool seeing the Pokemon, even if I didn't recognize half of them.
