Example: I think a retro equivalent to the superhero shows currently on the CW would be the DCAU. Though one is centered mostly around Green Arrow and the Flash and the other is centered mostly around Batman and Superman, they are both examples of a group of shows that share the same universe. They are also both adaptations of DC Comics characters.
