I have submitted a few photographs of stuff for the 5 Year Daze-a-palooza. For a slideshow. Hoju if possible use this song from the Karate Kid.

Many of us gleaned knowledge from watching the Karate Kid saga. Not only how to wax on, paint the fence, and sand-da-flor, but also many tenets of wisdom from Pat Morita's Mr. Miyagi. Such as:

Walk on road. Walk right side safe. Walk left side safe. Walk middle get squish like grape.

First learn stand, then learn fly. Nature rule Daniel-san not mine.

Trust quality of what you know, not quantity.

Look eye! Always look eye!

Well not only was there a pint sized Confucius sensei to teach us wisdom but even the songs teach us.

The Glory of Love. (or lost love or opportunity in Miyagi's case)

We try to make it last. The moment, the memory, the magic of childhood.

Nothing we can do time marches on and waits for no one. We are no longer children. But the lesson can be learned to make the most of each moment. Cherish memories. Create new ones with and for our children. Chronicle our memories. Share them so they are remembered.

In a photograph or any physical reminder, we can still find the innocence and nostalgia, and remember the joy and magic our childhood and remind others of theirs.

I have to say, I'm feeling pretty excited for this. Can't wait to see the whole thing put together!
