I had read about this a few days ago. I consider it the first big loss of 2019. I feel privileged that we were able to get him to do something for one of the Christmas Specials. R.I.P. Mean Gene.

Man... to hear Hogan get choked up and step out of character over losing Mean Gene... it’s heartwrenching but poignant. Gonna miss him. You love this signature.

I've been watching some of his old clips. What's making me really sad is seeing how many of the greats he interviewed are gone now too.
