Mr Magic
I know there's folks out there worldwide who aren't too crazy about this show, but Tom and Jerry Kids, the first season, was released today.

I have no doubt my kids would really enjoy this one. I'll keep an eye out for it.

It shouldn't cost much. It's only about 20 bucks.

Yeah... I think I'll pass on this release. To me, Tom and Jerry Kids really hasn't aged very well. I've watched it on Boomerang a couple times recently, and it feels incredibly dated. It was made back at a time where they made "kids" versions of cartoons, and it seemed crucial to Hanna-Barbara to cash in on this crapfest by giving the cat and mouse duo the "kids" treatment. They also tried to make the show "hip" by having Tom ride on a skateboard, or have Jerry play the guitar, as well as pop culture references that was popular at the time. Sure, it's all great for nostalgia, but that's really the only thing that makes the show any good.

Reminds me of the Scooby-Doo kids and other "kids" versions of shows. Like you mentioned, Hanna-Barbara was the worst offender when it comes to that.

I liked some kids versions of cartoons and not others. I'm a big Tom and Jerry fan, but I could never get into this cartoon. I even like the Gene Deitch, The Tom and Jerry Show, and Filmation ones.
