Just got done playing a short, albeit fun indie game from Playtonic Friends called Lil Gator Game on the Nintendo Switch. The game is bloated with childhood charm, from having that sense of adventure of playing fantasy games outside and turning anything into a challenge, and turning even the simplest of cardboard into the weapon of a warrior, the game had me smiling from start to finish and I wish the journey was just a bit longer. The story is simple: you're a kid that's trying to spend time with their older sister, but the sister no longer has time to play games and is up to her eyeballs in college work, so the kid goes out of his way to impress her by not only fighting off cardboard monsters, doing sidequests and making friends, but helping other kids on the island to build a town for everyone. Sure, it borrows some gameplay elements from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (paragliding, shield surfing and climbing) but it's a game for both kids and adults alike to enjoy, and a simple game that doesn't punish you for anything. Definitely give the game a try.
