The coolest animated show ever made! been a fan of the character since i saw Burton's first movie in theaters and collected his comics since as i knew one day they should do an animated show and my wish came true, i recalled when i was 9 when i was reading about the upcoming Batman Returns coming summer 1992 and with Batman The Animated Series in the works, i couldn't wait.

I watched the pilot episode "On Leather Wings" on prime time August 21 years ago and it blew my mind as i watched and taped the series religiously all the time. Even sometimes my bigger brother who is a DC fan like me would watch it with me and mom with me on a few episodes as she liked "Almost Got Em" which i recalled me with mom and my bigger brother watching the episode together and enjoyed it as we even laughed as Croc's line about rocks with everyone stoned looking.

Bruce Timm and Paul Dini were geniuses as they combined the comics with the Burton films together in one ingenious show, hell i even watched the 4th and 5th seasons on WB when i was a teenager and taped them too. I have them all on DVD and this show is my fave animated show ever.

I also like the style and stories they do on the show and the voice actor cast is phenomenal especially Kevin Conroy to Mark Hamil, Adrienne Barbeau, Richard Moll and more.

I even dug Catwoman, Ivy and Harley with Zantanna on this show as well.

I would say, at least as far as Batman is concerned, this is the quintessential animated program for fans.

As you mentioned, the voice cast was pitch perfect. But also the writing was fan focused, the style of animation-as inspired by Bruce Timm-was unique and dynamic, and the soundtrack was excellent.

Who else thinks Bull Shannon was perfect as Two-Face?

His voice was pretty good for the part. Though its hard to not envision "Bull" when you hear it.

They used black paper for the backgrounds. Such a simple yet revolutionary change.

Vaporman, did you try Beyond yet? It was a good sequel to TAS, same universe.

Ah, I remember this show from when I was little. The last time I watched it was actually last year, but I only watched a few episodes. It's pretty cool.

Looking forward to the animated version of The Killing Joke with Mark Hamill doing the Joker and Kevin Conroy doing Batman again. Should be fun.
