I was doing some writing about summer when I thought of a good topic.  When I was 16 my brother helped me
get my first car.  It was a 1982 Mercury Zephyr.  That was of course like any teenager, the greatest moment of my life.  What was your guys first vehicle?

 

1995 Volvo 850 which I still own. I plan on driving it into the ground.

A white 1987 Pontiac Grand Am. I thought I was so cool driving that thing around. It had license plates with "2 Grate" on them. I still own those original plates, but not the car. 

I can't stand the affluent high schoolers driving around in 40,000 cars like they paid for them themselves.

The first car I paid for myself was a 1995 Subaru Impreza. I put 215,000 miles on that car. I would have probably put another 200,000 on it if someone had not attempted to steal an ATV trailer from a neighbor down the street, only to have the trailer sideswipe my car parked along the street. It totaled the car, and the thieves didn't even get away with the trailer... it was left in the middle of the street. That sucked.

Like driving a couch. Just glide along the highway. Doing 80 feels like a relaxed 35.

I love the old land yachts. Unlike the cobalt my GF had in which going anything over 50 and you were at the mercy of the wind.

I had a 91 Buick Lesabre . I hit the back of a Dodge Ram; the Dodge got  a dent on the bumper, my car was totaled. Total loss, bought a hyundai sonata with the insurance money.
