The movie had one of the greatest trailers I've ever seen and was a total letdown. It had a flimsy premise and was missing major plot points. I'm sorry, you don't get to punt these questions to another film down the road. Each film should be able to stand up on its own. Also, from what I've heard about Covenant, none of these questions such as why the engineers created us or why they hate us get explained in this sequel either. So I really don't think that the production team ever had any idea either. Quote Disable Sigs

There are even head crushing/removal scenes. Prometheus isn't half as original as it pretends to be. Quote Disable Sigs
