We have areas for cover scans of VHS tape boxes and older (pre-2000) game system boxes. How about vinyl record sleeve, 8-track tape and cassette tape covers? Maybe Retro-CD and Retro-DVD covers. These would be older music or movies and TV that are reissued on CD/DVD (like the classic Disney cartoon movies, Night of the Comet, The Last Starfighter, Three Stooges collection, etc.) We could have an area for those, too.

I hadn't thought of 8-track and cassette tape covers. That would be cool. Maybe even laser disc covers. Something to consider for a future update.

I just thought about LaserDisc and was going to add that. Also, there were, at one time, formats called Betamax (like VHS tapes but bigger) and Capacitance Electronic Disc (CED) (like LaserDisc but worked more like a vinyl record but were movie discs).

Were those the format that you inserted into the player, then the disc slid out of it's case from inside the player?

From the picture, I'd say yes.

Yeah, that's it. One of my mom's ex-boyfriends owned one of those. I'm pretty sure he owned Star Wars and a few other big movies in that format.
