I thought it was really well done. The 'Bender is Homer with an antenna' joke was really good.

I remember I thought Bender looked like Homer in promo art before I even saw the series. Does anybody remember when Millhouse had a Bender doll and wanted Matt Groening to sign it? That was from a different episode.
