3663ArticleSockofFleagulls@Vaporman I've wanted M.A.S.K. back for so long that I couldn't simply ignore the new comic for the changes. It kills me we haven't got more merchandise for us collectors like Funko figures or really anything! I'm adding these comic to my collection because there is literally nothing else to collect! Having said that, I've been entertained with the new book as much as my 1985 brain will allow. @NLogan It's crazy how we hope they will eventually get one of these reboots "right". I can say I've enjoyed a few but its really a rare occasion. @jaktz You really have to look at it with 2016 glasses to enjoy and so far I have. Some changes are interesting while others are head scratchers. I'm committed to giving Easton the first 5-issue story arc the benefit of the doubt before giving a blanket assessment. Jan 04, 2017View
3662ArticleHoju KoolanderStill one of my favorites. No doubt as a teenager this would have been my dream first job, I don't know why I never went for it. Instead I will just have to live vicariously through your adventures. The Video Store ClerkJan 04, 2017View
3661ArticleHoju Koolander@vkimo Happy Trails, vkimo! As for which Gas Station, I'm sure it exploded in a Griswold related incident years ago. @RickAceRhodes That story needs to be fleshed out in an article. 7 hours for a 1 hour trip? That's an adventure! @Vaporman87 I've got plenty of new stuff in the hopper once the vintage articles are restored.Family Road TripsJan 04, 2017View
3660ArticlejkatzThe green skin on Mandarin and Dr. No was because both these characters were originally Asian stereotypes. I think they did the same thing for Ming the Merciless in one of the Flash Gordon toons (I want to say Defenders of the Universe?). That Oddjob is amazing. I'll have to look for his action figure now.James Bond Jr. RememberedJan 04, 2017View

3658ArticleVaporman87Glad to see this one back on the site. It was a great look into the life behind the counter. It was sad to see the last of our local rental stores close up just recently. I don't know of any anywhere local now.The Video Store ClerkJan 03, 2017View

3656ArticlevkimoGreat timing, I'm currently enroute from San Francisco to Philadelphia. Except I'm driving solo. What gas station in Utah did you loose Nuggit? Maybe I'll find him behind the churro maker. Also, good luck finding a Rambler on Find-A-Car Bingo!Family Road TripsJan 03, 2017View

3653ArticleRick Ace RhodesNice article MassReality! I've often wondered what it must of been like for a video store clerk back in the day. I'm sure like all clerk jobs it offered customers that were annoying, odd or actually interesting. It's a shame that technology has made things like this obsolete. It may have made our lives more convenient, but it removed some of the fun that once was involved in the inconvenience. My father loves to tell this story of how on Saturday's him and his friends would go out to the mall, drink and eat, and then spend the day in the record store digging through shelves and looking to see what cool records were in stock. Now and days that's all removed, you can just go to iTunes and find what you want. I've often wondered: why are new video releases released on Tuesdays? Even today new movies on DVD and Blu-Ray are often released on Tuesdays. Is it because Sunday's usually aren't business days and so Monday's have to be used to instead ship and receive them in stores to be put out on shelves? The Video Store ClerkJan 02, 2017View
