| 39534 | What do you think about this theory for why people feel nostalgic? | The simplest answer is not always best. | shakin steak | Apr 17, 2018 | |
| 39533 | Last Movie You Watched | The Greatest Showman (2017)

I remember hearing about this movie briefly before it came out in theaters and thinking it sounded interesting. Fast forward almost a year and I watched it on a whim, and it was excellent. A very loose retelling of how the circus began, and the story is infused with modern pop to keep it lively. Great music segments and a few really catchy tunes. If you enjoyed Chicago, Singing in the Rain or any classical musicals, you might want to see this.

4/5
| vkimo | Apr 17, 2018 | |

| 39530 | What do you think about this theory for why people feel nostalgic? | Vaporman nailed it. When you're young and don't know much, the excitement of new experiences combined with more time for enjoyment (less responsibilities, etc.) becomes a powerful memory. | jkatz | Apr 16, 2018 | |
| 39529 | What do you think about this theory for why people feel nostalgic? |
Vaporman87 wrote :

Nah. That’s crap. Life isn’t worse for me. It’s different. In many ways it’s better. My personal life is at its best. I do think today’s culture sucks in comparison. I think the nostalgia comes from experiencing the first of everything. In our youth everything is new and exciting. Now we feel like there can’t be anything new or good under the sun.
-end quote
I much prefer this theory for the origin of nostalgia. The other one doesn't allow for an explanation for why those with happy lives feel nostalgic, and that leaves out a large group of people since I'd wager that everyone feels a little nostalgia sometimes. | Superman | Apr 16, 2018 | |

| 39525 | Shenmue I and II getting enhanced ports | I haven't played too much of Shenmue, so I might get this collection. Also hoping it comes to the Switch as that would be a great to play on the go. Plus, there's rumors that we're going to be seeing some Sega Saturn and Dreamcast games on the Switch as part of the Sega Ages series, so having Shenmue as part of that would be a good addition. | blueluigi | Apr 16, 2018 | |
