| 5260 | Christmas Nostalgia & More! | Well... yesterday was the OFFICIAL start of the Christmas season for yours truly. I say that because yesterday was the first day I got my hands on one of these...

That's a McDonald's Egg Nog shake. Each year, my first taste of one of these signals to me the start of the season. Let the merry commence!

In the meantime, I visited Walmart to see how the decorating was coming along...

Yeah. This was not nearly as impressive as the merchandiser displays during Halloween, but hey... it's something.

I do like the creativity over last 10 years or so from the creators of brand display systems. Nabisco always has a nice one to show off.

One of my favorite stocking stuffers of the year are LifeSavers/Starburst candy "books".

This is new (to me anyway). I purchased a box, just to try it out. Haven't tasted them yet though. I was already overloaded with egg nog from the shake.

| Vaporman87 | Nov 18, 2013 | |

| 5258 | Virtual Console Thursdays | Also, Wii Party U might be worth looking into. I rented the first Wii Party game through Gamefly, and thought it was far better than Mario Party 8. From what I've seen in the trailer, Wii Party U seems to also take advantage of the Wii U Gamepad in a similar manner to Nintendoland.
| blueluigi | Nov 18, 2013 | |
| 5257 | Virtual Console Thursdays | rayman legends is also quite fun (see my new sig). there's been all sorts of praise for the wii u version as its the definitive version out of all the console releases not sure if you've played wii sports but you might like wii sports club by downloading it at the eshop. it's $10 each for bowling and tennis, and there's a new online mode
| Benjanime | Nov 18, 2013 | |

Loved that show. I liked the hosts and they always had something new and unique cooking in between the movie segments. Great stuff. I hope it's still around, though I doubt it is... at least in the same way it used to be.
| Vaporman87 | Nov 18, 2013 | |
| 5255 | Virtual Console Thursdays | Thanks blue. I was checking out Pikmin 3 and NintendoLand today, but wasn't sure what NintendoLand was all about. If it's a great multiplayer game, then that's exactly what I'm looking for.
| Vaporman87 | Nov 18, 2013 | |

Any recommendations? -end quote

One game I highly recommend is Pikmin 3. That's been the game I've been playing the most of the Wii U. Also, Nintendoland is super fun when you have more than one person playing the game. In fact, in one of the Meetup groups I go to, I brought my Wii U to one of them, and we had a lot of fun playing multiplayer rounds of Nintendoland.

Other games that might be worth checking out is Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed and The Wonderful 101. You can download the demo versions of both games on the Nintendo eShop as well as a number of others.
| blueluigi | Nov 17, 2013 | |
