Question above.

But, of the years I chose above, which year was Nick’s best year and why?

Of the years I chose above, I’m personally going with 2001 on this one because that year still had a lineup of Rugrats, CatDog, Hey Arnold!, As Told By Ginger, Rocket Power, The Angry Beavers, The Wild Thornberrys, etc… and a lot of these Nicktoons were still being shown this year much more than the year of 2004. You had also had the debut of newer Nicktoons on the network around this time like Invader Zim and The Fairly OddParents.

SpongeBob was still in its Golden Age Era with the show still airing or wrapping the last of its Season 2 episodes and reruns of the first two seasons of the Sponge were put into heavy rotation on the network around this time. You also had the Rugrats: All Growed Up TV Special in the summer of 2001 as well.

I was kind of on and off by the early 2000s. The original run of Rugrats was on its way out, didn't like its All Grown Up spinoff as much, I liked watching SpongeBob while its writing was still good. Couldn't get into some other shows out there, but I did kind of tune into Angry Beavers and CatDog until its cancellation.

I dunno, I think that once my childhood friends had all moved away, watching Nickelodeon just didn't have the same impact without them being around to watch with me.

Yeah, I understand. I’m a little younger than you, so I watched Nick well into the Mid-2000’s with shows like Drake & Josh, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, Catscratch, Mr. Meaty, the later episodes of SpongeBob, Danny Phantom, etc. Unfortunately, I never got to Nickelodeon Studios even though I did go to Universal Islands of Adventure with my family in 2004 (I most unfortunately missed out on Nickelodeon Studios when it was still open).

It’s very unfortunate what has happened to Nick and how it’s completely become the SpongeBob channel and how that seems to be the only show Nick even cares about anymore. But really, even I liked Nickelodeon and all, I was probably much more of Cartoon Network viewer as a young boy and I consider myself more of a Cartoon Network person these days even though Cartoon Network really went downhill in the Mid-To-Late-2000’s, that’s another story.
