5048ArticleVaporman87Man, these are all perfect choices Ben. The only glaring omission (in my opinion) is Maniac Mansion. Nice pick with Parasite Eve! I had forgotten all about that game, and it was excellent. Sep 27, 2019View
5051ArticleBenjanimeooh, speaking of point and click adventure games i'm sure day of the tentacle would have fit in nicely too!Video games you could be playing on HalloweenSep 27, 2019View
5055ArticleJulieWhen you mentioned Splatterhouse, you said it all. My first experience was with Splatterhouse 2 for the Sega Genesis, back in the 1990s, when I was startled by the ambient sound, the screams and the rudeness of the scenery. This franchise is special to me until today. But after I met Silent Hill (the first one for PlayStation), I didn't find any other game that scares me the most to date. When I play, I get nervous and apprehensive (because my tendency is to immerse myself in the story, like in a book). Great post!Video games you could be playing on HalloweenOct 07, 2019View
5056ArticleBenjanime@Julie splatterhouse certainly felt like one of those games that was ahead of its time, so much gore with its difficulty accompanying it :)Video games you could be playing on HalloweenOct 07, 2019View
3677ArticleVaporman87I can't imagine a more thorough list of cereals that any kid would want to choose from on a Saturday morning! I would reach for almost any of these as a kid (except maybe some of the healthier fare). I REALLY want one of those Masters of the Universe fuzzy iron-ons (because one of the characters is ROBOTO!). I have right now in my possession one or two of those Sugar Bear Christmas plushes. I had them for use in one of the Christmas Goodie Packs but didn't use them. I actually did not know they made noise upon squeezing them. I'll have to try them to see if they still work. Saturday Morning CerealsJan 11, 2017View
3682ArticleHoju KoolanderI can't imagine a more comprehensive look at retro cereals. The Ghostbusters and TMNT brands especially bring back memories of walking through the grocery store aisles. I never knew those Batman comics were offered through the cereal. I got mine as part of the dramatized book and tape sets, which are fantastic. Love that shot of your collection at the end. So is RJ classics a method now of revising old RetroJunk articles being pioneered by NLogan? Or is this a longstanding trend I somehow missed?Saturday Morning CerealsJan 14, 2017View

4050ArticleVaporman87I think the saturation of "ninja" in the late 80's was it's peak. Even I had a full on ninja outfit (as ordered from one of the many ninja magazines I had), including foam nun chucks, rubber throwing stars, and a sword. You couldn't escape it. Everyone wanted to be a ninja. Revenge of the Imaginary Ninjas!Aug 22, 2017View
4056ArticleNLoganKids across America became imaginary ninjas in their minds and snuck around wishing they had the martial arts prowess and abilities of true ninjas before the videogame craze took over and firmly rooted their butts to the couch. I am glad you were one of those kids.Revenge of the Imaginary Ninjas!Aug 22, 2017View
4058ArticlevkimoI'm definitely in Ninja mode now. I remember Snake Eyes being your avatar for years on RetroJunk. In a way, you were very much like a Ninja, seldom seen but always lurking in the shadows.Revenge of the Imaginary Ninjas!Aug 22, 2017View
