ArticleVaporman87Congratulations on this contest winner TDITH! It was a splendid article. Dec 21, 2013View
ArticleVaporman87A great deal of my stuffed animals had special meaning to me growing up. They came into my possession by various means, but I don't recall any of them coming from a fast food joint. I had stuffed animals from small shops to large box stores, but the ones I cared about the most had no brand or property affiliation. They were just "animals". Cats, dogs, bunnies, mice... just animals. It was the personality I gave them that made them extra special. None more so than "Meowwy Wowwy". A cat nearly as old as me, who still gets played with today (thanks to my children's interest in him - as played through me). He's pretty unique, as I have only ever found one other of his kind, but it was white instead of grey. Have a Plush Christmas!Dec 23, 2013View
ArticleVaporman87On the topic of writing in books, I still have a few from my past that are bursting at the seems with my textual riffing of the action taking place in the pages. Everything from Winnie The Pooh to He-Man received my written scorn. I can recall re-reading the books once I had "revised" them, and cracking myself up until tears poured down my face. LOL. I was my own biggest fan with stuff like that. Thanks for this Miss M. I will have to dig out those old story books and just read them again.Christmas Retro ReadsDec 23, 2013View

ArticleVaporman87Nice comparision there TDITH. I enjoyed this article quite a bit. I can't say I watched either show, though I would at times catch a bit here and there of Bill Nye's show. They both seemed like valiant attempts at making learning interesting. Science is one of the easier subjects (in my opinion) to make interesting, as much of it involves performing experiments and witnessing the unique and sometimes baffling results. I have to say, my opinion of Bill Nye dropped a great deal when he started running his mouth on the subject of origin science and, specifically, criticizing whole swaths of religious people for their beliefs on the subject. Apparently Bill fancies himself capable of entering that touchy and controversial area and going toe to toe with some the best minds on both sides of the subject. I think he should stick to children.90's Vs: Bill Nye the Science Guy vs...Jan 02, 2014View
ArticleVaporman87Agreed Fulton. That was a classic scene. Regarding movie soundtracks, I rarely purchased one in my early teens. I did eventually buy the TMNT movie soundtrack (which I believe was the first soundtrack I ever purchased) and thoroughly enjoyed it. But I was 16 when that movie came out, so I was late coming to the "soundtrack" scene. After that purchase, I think movie soundtracks were the bulk of what I purchased as far as music is concerned. I liked that I could get a good mix of different styles of music, from various artists, all on one tape (or CD). Hear ye, Hear ye!Jan 08, 2014View
ArticleVaporman87LOL. I love this line: Why this look just screams, “I fight people at five in the morning at the local bar in town.” Also, I am so glad to hear that full length capes will be in this year, because I was really worried that my doing so this past week was scaring some of my fellow workers. It's good to know I'm just "ahead of the curve", and not "insane" or "losing it". Am I? Toy Talk with Miss M: Fashion Preview!Jan 12, 2014View
ArticleVaporman87I have never heard of this movie... and yet it has Gregory Hines, Chevy Chase (in his prime), and Sigourney Weaver? How have I not heard of this? Despite that, I may have to try and find this one on Netflix or some other service and give it a go.Deal of the CenturyJan 12, 2014View
ArticleVaporman87I meant to add some words about Clue also. I would like to see a line of characters from that movie. That is one of the VERY few movies that I can actually REMEMBER watching in the theater.Dream ToysJan 22, 2014View
ArticleVaporman87I was happy to see (or smell that is) that Stinkor for the Classics line was also scented with that familiar foul aroma. I would say, with regard to toys in general that scared me, I did have a tremendous fear of ventriloquist dummies. I had seen parts or the movie, "Magic", starring Anthony Hopkins. That did it for for me. And then seeing "Poltergeist" didn't help either. As far as toys that I myself owned, I once had a 4 or 5 foot tall gorilla that stood on all fours. It was an awesome toy. I personally never feared it as it stood beside my bed. But my friends who would stay the night didn't feel the same way. Most of them hated the thing. LOL. Thanks again Miss M.The Fear of ToysJan 24, 2014View
