Regarding The Suicide Squad... I think it was probably better than the original was, but not by a whole lot. Just not interested in these characters. Totally different than the Guardians of the Galaxy, who were very likeable characters.

I really did not like the Harley Quinn and dictator romance sequence. That's something that could have been cut and would have no impact on the rest of the plot.

Oh, it's NOWHERE near as good as Guardians of the Galaxy. And really, the more I think about it, the more it feels like he ripped a ton out of that formula. (The Shark guy is essentially a mix of Groot and Drax for instance). I feel almost duped because most of what I enjoyed is was just a version of stuff from the Guardians movies that was done better.

Rewatched Poltergeist for like the 20th time, because it's that good. Childhood nightmare fuel... tastes good going down.

I LOVE Poltergeist. Watch it every year around Halloween.

Watched The Crow last night. Somehow I haven't seen it since the 90s.

Osmosis Jones - My daughter and I watched this tonight. For me it was one of those obscure animated movies I quickly dismissed when it first came out. I have to say though, we both enjoyed it more than I thought! Defiintely some gross body humour but the animation was well done and the live action sequences helped keep the movie interesting. Heavy 2000s urban vibe.

Don't Breathe 2: Really good thriller once again. I enjoyed the first film, but I liked the set up for this one better, placing a burden on the viewer to root for one or the other of two flawed parties.

Candyman. Original.

Never saw it til now. Definitely different from other slasher films. But sometimes, different is good. Very creepy and thought-provoking. Never seen anything like it in terms of slashers.

Actually just saw Candyman at the drive-in last week. Plan to see the new one soon.

Don't Breathe 2 looks good, can't wait to see it.

What drive in? I've been wanting to take my daughter to one for awhile now. The nearest one is like an hour away though and the movies doen't start till 9...so my kid would basically be asleep the entire time haha
