Doing schoolwork during the summer? That would make me cringe!

No swimming, no cartoons, no deal!

Aside from my 2 years in year round school. I went to summer school once. I didn't mind it.

The only time I went to summer school was to take some retakes of the Graduation Exam.

Where I lived a lot of people would send their kids to summer school for "baby sitting". The kid didn't really need to go. But if the parents knew they were somewhere for a few hours a day and got a free lunch they would send them.

That's what day camp is for.

Today marks the first time this Summer that my yard has been both mowed and weedeated completely and simultaneously. It's like a solar eclipse... rare and spectacular.

Definitely. I had cut a path through another part of our property and we did some "adventuring" there today. The kids enjoyed a great deal. We have 3 paths strewn throughout our property (though one up on the hill is actually mostly on our neighbor's property. They're fun to walk.

I might have to invest in a canoe at some point if this rain doesn't stop. Half of Tampa is flooded as it is.

That was me a couple weeks ago. Thank goodness it FINALLY dried up around here.
