Did I hear somebody say "weird cartoon"?

I thought I could get my mind around any toon but I've never seen anything like "The Terrible Thunderlizards".

Well here's my explanation:  Deep in the X-Zone the Thugasaurs hatch their evil plans to destroy Jurassic City, home of the Terrible Thunderlizards. Caught between these two enemies are two helpless humans, just trying to survive.

Well if I'm wrong please help me out. This cartoon is beyond understanding.
Ya just sorta sit back . . .  and just let it happen.

I don't think we'll ever see another cartoon quite like this again.
First time I saw Jurassic City, all the skyscrapers had tail fins!
Ya couldn't take your eyes off the TV for a moment or you'll miss something. And the humor was college level funny, instead of gross, bodily function gags.
An example of that would be the"Ripping Friends"

I see the Ren and Stimpy creator made that.

Alice in Wonderland (1951)

Oh, my goodness, that Cheshire Cat. He is unbelievable!

Ha Ha! I remember the Ripping Friends. I used to watch it when it was airing on Fox Kids.

Remember, I'm the guy that got in trouble at Retro Junk because I remarked at how cartoon humor took a dive by 2001. Contextual humor gave way to a more simple-minded humor based mostly on bodily functions. I was seeing laughs based on stuff that I hadn't found funny since the 4th grade.
Toons from the 90's may as well be Shakespeare compared to popular cartoons of the 00's.
Everybody loves Ren and Stimpy, I wanted "Mad Jack the Pirate", thank you very much.

OK, ya got me so I'll backtrack a bit, lol!

Squidbillies is funny but you know the show's audience is a bit different from the usual cartoon target. It's funny the way Family Guy isn't. Looks like this show will be around a lot longer than I expected, is it going on ten years now?

I'd like to do something different now.

You guys know that there are two versions of Warner Bros. theater shorts: before Bugs Bunny and after Bugs Bunny. Because of the way the old W-B shorts were aired on TV, I never understood that Porky Pig was W-B's first cartoon star.

Enough time has passed that I can see the appeal, especially when Porky is menaced by his nephew who seems to delight in pranking his uncle. Here's a cartoon with the funny scene where Porky's nephew has a good time with his sand shovel and the side of Porky's skull.

Now that's the kind of cartoon to stay up for."Stickin' Around" is cool.
Just like the old saying; "anything can happen . . . and it usually does".

Remember "Tutenstein"?

This is the weird toon that was harmless fun. Loved the was Tut always got in Cleo's business. He would mess everything up and Cleo would say things like, "when I get my hands on that little mummy I'm going to kill him . . . all over again!".

This is my favorite episode because by season 3 the show got more involved with the God of the Underworld and his plans to steal the Sceptre of Was.
