If someone sold those on eBay, they would likely charge twice as much..

Well... here we are again with Spring approaching rapidly. For my family, that means VACATION is near!!!

We'll be heading back down to Florida again, only this time we'll be including Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in our travels (not just Disney parks). I'll be very happy to get away from this snow and single digit temps!

I'm also anxious to find out if our special dollar bill is still safely tucked away in it's hidden location on Tom Sawyer Island in the Magic Kingdom.

Another change... we'll be staying on Disney property this year. That means the room will be smaller, but getting to and from Epcot and the Magic Kingdom will be as simple as a monorail ride. No driving or parking at those parks.

Well we've been on the road for about 12 hours now and so far so good. Hit some rain here in South Carolina.

Ahh. After one day of chilly and windy, and one day of pouring rain the whole time, we have at last come to a sunny, warm day. Delightful. Thank you Florida.

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure down... Disney parks to go.

I'm finding out the hard way that by "Contemporary Resort", Disney means "Fancy Cramped Motel Room". I could have paid half the price per night and had an entire apartment sized placed outside of Disney grounds.

I was in one of the Wilderness lodge cabins on my last trip there years ago. It wasn't too bad........ Though that was because I had the whole living room area to myself

I don't understand how these tiny "gift" and "t-shirt" shops survive on the strips here in Orlando. Who are these people who stop to see what they have? Why?

Hope you guys are having a blast. How were the Islands of Adventure? Is the Spidey motion ride anything to write home to Aunt May about? I remember designing my own super hero theme park as a kid, so I've always wanted to see what the real thing would be like.

Did they do a Springfield from The Simpsons thing at Universal Studios Florida or just the Harry Potter deal?

I've only made it out to DisneyWorld once in my life, but luckily I was a Disneyland Employee at the time, so I got in free with my Cast Member ID card. I managed to hit Epcot and the Magic Kingdom (which was like being in an alternate dimension), but missed out on the other parks.

Have you ever been to King's Dominion in Virginia? I went there in '93 while visiting my cousins in New Jersey and it was very cool to be in a Hanna-Barbera themed land of fun. The Smurfs ride was the most memorable to me.

Oh yeah...

The hidden Disney dollar has been found again. That's 3 years and counting!

Unfortunately, my wife checking it out in front of a curious oncoming visitor has made it necessary to move it to a new location. It is now rolled up and tucked securely in the crease of a crossbeam in the area where the jewels are.
