Basically I don't understand the fascination with getting in a large tub filled with other people and their filth (pubes, snot, bandages, poop, urine, and who knows what else).

Stop it, Vapor. I may give up going to the pool.

i'm kinda in the same camp as vapor here, but it's not that i'm not comfortable with everyone else in the pool, just a couple of friends of my stepdad who came over to our pool who are no doubt a couple of hicks, they have a poor sense of hygiene and just the thought of their stink mixing in with the water doesn't bode well with me.

We had a pool when I was a kid. I would like to get one, but my Husband does not want the responsibility. Oh well. Great memories spending all day in that pool during the summer.

Earlier this month, Hurricane Barry hit Louisiana. Boy, would I hate to be a Louisiana native right now.

Got back from the annual lake trip yesterday. Was fun. Shoulders are burnt and I look like a raccoon with the sunburn on my face. 

@PittsburghGirl: Yeah, that’s how I feel about the responsibility of owning a pool.
