We only recently started offering a 401k type of benefit, mainly because the job market required we do so if we wanted to attract anyone with some intention of sticking around for a while.

Well folks, we are almost at the halfway point of the year. I figure we should all catch up and see how we're doing with our goals for 2021.

My first book is coming along nicely. I hope to get it completely done by mid-late July. I am already in talks with a publisher.

I started working on my portfolio of my work so far. A majority of 2019 is done. I just have to orgranize 2020 and upload that. 2021 can start next year.

I have saved up a lot for my car. I'm waiting out till the end of the summer to hopefully get a better deal. Once I get my car I can also take my hometown vacation.

Weight loss is okay. I am not as far as I wanted to be, but I am still committed to the diet.

The other things I am in a limbo with. I have my passport form filled out but have yet to do it. I've looked into moving but I can't afford it at the moment. The website has been a trainwreck. I contact developers to look into them and none of them get back to be me.

The good news is I have also started doing other things that I wasn't planning on doing this year. I want to start podcasting and making YouTube videos.

Mr Magic

I moved into a better place. There's nothing much to look at from the outside, but the apartment itself is better than the other one.

Wow, congrats, Rick! Sound slike you've got a lot going on this year! That's awesome about the book and publisher. Glad to hear the weight loss jounrey is movoing along too.

Mr. Magic, congrats on the new place, very cool!

As for myself, I haven't done as much as I'd like, but it hasn't been too bad. Many of you probably know I've been working with Vaporman on a novel (Tommy and the Order of Cosmic Champions). Well, the first draft of that is done and I'm going to start edits soon. I've also submitted my previous novel to a few publishers finally, so I'm hoping some good news comes from that too.

I have managed to save more this year, putting money into my retirement savings. And I have been working out...well...more than ever before, which isn't saying much. But still, not too shabby.

That's about all I can think of at the moment.

Congrats to you all so far! There sure is a lot going on in everyone's lives.

As for myself, I too have been more committed than ever to working out, especially since we have a new, very spacious and accommodating facility nearby now.

My dad's mental health has rapidly deteriorated lately. He's losing his short term memory, and not taking his meds for his high blood pressure, blood clot, and other conditions. So I've had to start managing his finances, search for a place close to me to move him to, and start looking into in home care.

Our pool is finally done, and the kids love it. Also our concrete driveway and ball court are finished.

As for personal projects, it's been almost exclusively related to the novel CCA mentioned and the associated promotional merch and media.

Sorry to hear that Vaporman. My grandfather is going through something similiar at the moment. It seems like a nursing home is almost inevitable. Pains me to see when elderly people reach this point.

I'm so sorry to hear about both of your fathers. With Father's Day coming up, I wish there was better news for all of us on that front. My own dad is also going through medical stuff (kidney disease casued by multiple myeloma) and is currently undergoing chemo. We're remaining hopeful though.

Ahh. That's disheartening news. Seems like the lot of us are dealing with paternal issues. I wish you guys the best as you handle everything.
