Like I said before, Nintendo likes to double-dip their consumers for those who own the systems by releasing the games on all their systems without the decency of offering a crossbuy option. Considering how the Wii U and 3DS can operate on your own Nintendo Network ID, then I see no reason why they shouldn't include the option to download NES games on both systems without having to pay for the same game twice. As far as having that option for the original Wii... I wouldn't count on it. Nintendo already pulled the plug on the system so they can support the Wii U, so it's not likely that they'd do anything else with the system. The best I can say is that if Nintendo ever does give you the option to own games on the Wii U and 3DS is if you have all your Wii data moved to the Wii U, and upgrade your Wii Virtual Console games to the Wii U and you'll be able to upgrade for only a dollar. The only problem there is that not everybody owns a Wii U, but again, it is the best I can really hope would happen in the future.
Anyway, with that said. Here is this week's Virtual Console releases for the week of February 20, 2014:
Wii U Virtual Console:
Ice Hockey (NES)
$4.99
3DS Virtual Console:
Sky Kid (NES)
$4.99

Also, in the wake of the news about GBA games on the Wii U Virtual Console, Mr. Driller 2 and Klonoa: Empire of Dreams has been classified as part of the Australian Classification Board. Both games say multi-platform which means they could arrive on the 3DS Virtual Console sometime soon. I really do hope that's true.
