The Top Gun rollercoaster at Carowinds is still fighter jet themed and is called Afterburn. It's housed in what looks like a huge hangar and all that stuff. I think they just took down the few Top Gun signs and left everything else the same.

Well, if it doesn't look like rain this Saturday, me and my buddy Phil will be hitting up King's Island for opening day of the season. It'll likely be crowded... but that's what Fast Lane Passes are for. Mwahahahahaha!!! Fools wait in lines!!!

Banshee... here I come.

My parents always get me all day wristbands for Nickelodeon Universe for my birthday. Amongst other things. Excited to get on that. We are very close. The Turtles ride is pretty wicked. Takes a lot of effort, but when you get it going, it's awesome. The first ride of it's kind in the U.S. My family and a few friends all went to the grand opening/ World Record event. Most people dressed as Ninja Turtles in one place. Tees and masks were provided..communicator was mine.

We visited King's Island yesterday and I lost count of how many times we rode the major rides. I love Fast Lane Passes.

If you lived in New Jersey, maybe you remember this park? I've read many stories about it online... not good ones. Many stories of injury and death, earning it the name "Traction" Park, or "Fracture" Park (actually Action Park). The big looping water slide was it's most notorious offender.

Can you imagine how many safety regulations it would be violating if this park existed today as it was then?

Haha I lived just a couple hours north of action park in New York State. Kids used to talk about how dangerous/awesome it was.

http://galleries.apps.chicagotribune.com/chi-classic-photos-old-chicago-20130806/ Old Chicago was an indoor amusement park in Bolingbrook, IL. I have very vague memories of going there as a kid. Part of the movie the Wraith was filmed there too.

Aw man... that place looks like it would have been great. Too bad it was so short-lived.
