As of some months back, it was 40 points for articles, 5 for videos (except uploaded videos, which I try double that that amount for, and I can't even remember what it was for classifieds and VHS covers. I'll get back to you on those.
If your article becomes a Featured Article, then the point total doubles for that article.

Thanks for the clarification. If points are awarded for video uploads, how come caps isn't on the top contributors list?

Caps has far and away the most points. But he has not submitted an
article, so that's why he is not in the Star Submitters list. That is a
list exclusive to article writers and the retroratings they get.
