Ladies and GentlemanMiss Bannatyne has made her choice. Here are her selections of her 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices... in her own words:
1. flannel cornucopia lhttp://retro-daze.org/site/article/id/279
I thought this piece had some really lovely memories as well as some wonderful thoughts about Halloween in general; it went deeper in terms of thinking about what Halloween means.
2. NLogan's Retro Halloween Overload

This is an amazingly detailed and incredibly illustrated string of Halloween memories and events, and I loved how the piece takes us through several generations. What a fabulous Halloween family!!!
3. The Not so great pumpkin

This piece stood out for me because it was a story rather than a memoir, and the author created a world I was able to enter into and experience along with him.
Congratulations to vkimo for the win this year! It was a really deep competition, with lots of great entries.
For coming in second and third, NLogan and fuschnikt will receive 1,000 and 500 points respectively.
Great job everyone. It was awesome this year!
