WWE has at last decided to do away with it and bring back the TV-14 rating. For Monday Night Raw at least.

honestly i don't know anybody i've met in person that still watches WWE. i had some interest for a while during nWo, but that was it. i think i only watched it because my older brother rented one of the playstation wrestling games. i still recall too, one of my friends at the time made up this rumor that earthworm jim was an unlockable character and only told me that to get me to play it

Even before the Attitude era, WWE was kid-friendly, but at the time, it was watchable. They actually put effort into making the matches and writing good. It'll be good to see those things make a comeback.

Shoot, I'll even welcome the seas of signs back with open arms lol. It shows you the fans are really into it.

I feel like it is too little too late. Even if they brought back the edgier stuff, it doesn't necessarily mean the matches return to being good.

I was having a conversation with my uncle recently who actually worked in the indie circuit back in the day. He said something that really dawned on me why the matches in today's wrestling suck: they have gone too overboard with the focus on the flashy moves and the performence of them.

A wrestling match should be two opponents telling a story with their match and having a fight that looks realistic. Instead we have wrestlers just performing moves on each other in a way that isn't realistic to an actual fight. You have to be able to incorperate moves properly into a match, not just do them to do them.

The signs were always cool but must have been highly annoying when sitting in the back. As for the higher rating, hopefully it's not just for shock value, I still remember wathcing RAW one night and they had a spinning board with different types of lingerie the women would wear for the next match...
