Okay, so the Pro Bowl isn't what it's cracked up to be, but every sports league has to have an all-star game.

Last night when we were out with friends at Chili's, I was watching one of their TV screens because there was an NBA game on from 1996. Turned out to be the Golden State Warriors vs. The Lakers. It was the first game in which Magic Johnson returned to the NBA (after he retired for a time having discovered he was HIV positive).

Have you guys noticed how pathetic the Philadelphia 76ers became this year? I promise I'm not making this up, but their record right now is 8-43! That's right: 8 wins and 43 losses. Those players probably have that "why do we even bother?" attitude. |
