Let me guess, Ben:

Ha! They wish they had something as strong as "The Luck of the Fryrish" and "Jurassic Bark" going for them.
And -in fact- I'm kind of surprised that, as big and well-known as The Simpsons is, there was never a true attempt at having some heart in the episodes. There were some that were a bit poignant, but I don't recall any episodes moving me as hard as those mentioned above. @Silver:
Think about Hurricane Neddy. When Ned and his family's house were demolished by the hurricane, the Springfield natives built them a new house. Well, they tried at least. But they did it with love. "Magic can happen to you."

I love that one, but it doesn't pull any heartstrings for me.

How about Lisa's First Word?
If this moment doesn't pull any heartstrings, I don't know what will. So sweet. "Magic can happen to you."

When you are right, you are right, man. I forgot about that one. Bart gets an F is quite emotional as well, I suppose.

It was important that Bart passed his final test. If he didn't, he would be held back. And when he received that "F" on his last test, ooh, baby.

Yeah, I can see why it would result so moving for some of you (personally, an F doesn't mean much to me, since we don't have that kind of grades here and, admittedly, the reveal lost some of its thrust because of it) but I still can't get over the fact that it is Futurama and not The Simpsons the show that was able to destroy me (yeah, destroy me) with its emotional episodes (hell, I know plenty of people who wouldn't watch Jurassic Bark again because of how much it hurts).
It's kind of funny in a way, though: the show with the homicidal robot and the group of misfits made me cry at least twice, but the one with the relatable family couldn't "Even though I'm cheating like a btard, this is still surprisingly hard" - Ross Scott.

I'd say around season 9 or 10 was where it started going downhill for me. After that I just got bored of it and wanted to see something else. There's only so long I can watch the same characters doing the same thing before it just gets boring.
