The reason? General Mills has announced the package details for this year's Monster Cereals lineup.


Through the use of an app known as Blippar, you'll be able to view the boxes with your smart phone and such and see your favorite tasty terrors come to life in new ways. I'm guessing this will function much like the AR cards with the Nintendo DS.

Target is once again getting exclusive boxes that will contain a cut out castle, and Walmart will be getting glow-in-the-dark boxes. No word on whether Target will be offering any "retro" boxes again this year.

I bought these last night at Dollar General... it has begun.

Ah, my favorite time of year!  Yeah, I saw those scream eggs the other day.  Almost bought one.  Now I regret not buying it. 

I have to stock up on Monster cereals again this year.  You know, I still have the flattened boxes from a couple years ago when they reintroduced Frute Brute and Yummy Mummy.  

I had a box of Fruit Brute for a year after they came out. LOL
