It's not only you, MM, by 1997 an animation tsunami greater than anything seen before was about to overwhelm television broadcasters with an embarrassment of riches. By 1998, the Saturday morning pile-up was spilling over into Sunday, then weekday mornings and weekday after-school hours.

And don't forget, our old friend, Saban Entertainment was on the prowl, snapping up animated content from around the world. Haim Saban had a love for French animator, Gaumont Multimedia - home of Space Goofs, and I still blame Saban for the production delays that stalled Season Two of Space Goofs.

The end of the 20th century saw an animation frenzy that made every cartoon lover welcome the New Century. How would anyone have suspected the real future that lay ahead for us all?

After the crazy April I just lived through, it's good to have a friend remind me of the cool "Stupid Invaders" game. The boys at Xilam Animation knew they had a great storyline for gaming, but it was a struggle to stay independent. French media was going bonkers at the turn of the century and a lot of creative studios got taken over by 2005.

Let's see the Hilton top this.

I know we're living in advanced times, but a space hotel?

Who knows? This could be a pleasant experience.

This seems WAY too early to happen. We can't even reliably get spacecraft off the ground without the occasional hiccup, let alone transport passengers to space hotels.
