Wow, the “Helping Hand” is as cool as the Pillsbury “Dough Boy”. Nice one MM.

Kraftwerk has been creating visuals to accompany an old musical track from 1978.

I've been a fan of Dawn French since “Murder Most Horrid” back in the 80's.

Citroën sold cars in the United States up to model year 1975.

Why the TV show “CHiP's” from 1977 seemed to imply that a  Citroën DS on three wheels was dangerous made no sense. The DS was designed to operate with a wheel missing.

Is…is Metallica Reload album (the sequel album to Load) from the year 1997 worthy of the retro hall of fame?:

Because I’ve been listening to it lately and have been finding a lot like about it and you probably could put it in the band’s Top 4 albums behind Master Of Puppets, The Black Album and Ride The Lightning.

Besides the hit singles like the iconic album opener, Fuel, The Unforgiven II (the sequel to the original Unforgiven song) and The Memory Remains, the album has a lot of good and underrated tracks like Slither, Carpe Diem Baby, Where the Wild Things Are and of course the incredible Low Man's Lyric. I definitely think Reload should be ranked much MUCH HIGHER on Metallica’s studio album rankings on BestEverAlbums.com (which has it ranked and rated dead last of all their studio albums).

But, you can definitely tell the album was basically the Metallica album for the early part of the Y2K Attitude Era in the Late-90’s and the Metallica album that represents that era so well. The album also was just recently certified 4x Platinum by the RIAA for surpassing 4 million shipments and 4 million copies in sales awhile back.

And I often had Kurt Cobain lived…what he would have thought of Metallica’s Load/Reload Era.

And I would share something more-Christmas related…but I’m not much in the holiday mood these days like I use to be…especially since most of my grandparents have past away and since our family have grown further and further apart…it’s hard to love the holidays nearly as much as we use to…although I still try to be in the best spirits possible around this time of the year.

Mr Magic

Quicky

In 1960, Nestle introduced what would later on be, an advertising icon: A brown Quik-loving bunny named Quicky. He did his first commercial in 1973 and many, many more since then.

Do you know why Quicky sounds like Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? It's because it's the same exact voice actor, Barry Gordon! Yes, sir! Mr. Gordon himself! How cool it is to hear the voice of Donnie and countless other animated characters voice our beloved Quicky as well! Just like Quik/Nesquik, Quicky is a huge huge favorite among kids and adults across the globe. Always has been, always will be. Why haven't they made a Quicky Funko Pop yet? It's an absolute shame! It really is!
